The vote button escapes markdown twice for members with the contributor role

Rejects valid email addresses containing a plus sign — reproduced on two machines.

Expected: the keyboard shortcuts keeps its state. Actual: it loses focus while typing.

    Thanks for the detailed repro — that made this much faster to track down. The workaround breaks as soon as a second person is involved.
